Meet Vivian, a former account assistant who defied all odds and transformed her passion for makeup into a full-fledged career. Her decision to enter the wedding industry as a makeup artist began with a desire for career flexibility and more time to visit her relatives in Malaysia. Despite having no prior experience in the field, she took a leap of faith and enrolled in a professional makeup course.

Vivian’s success did not come without its fair share of challenges. As a makeup artist, she often faced long and grueling hours, especially during the peak wedding season. She would have to wake up at the crack of dawn to start preparing her clients and would often work late into the night to ensure that everything was perfect. However, her passion for makeup and the joy that she brought to her clients made all the hard work worthwhile. Today, she’s a well-sought-after makeup artist with a loyal following of clients who trust her to make them look and feel their best as well as have endless words of praise to say about her!

One of the things that set Vivian apart as a makeup artist is her ability to connect with her clients on a personal level. She understands that every individual has unique preferences and requirements, and takes the time to listen to and understand their needs. She believes that makeup should enhance a person’s natural beauty and strives to achieve a look that not only makes her clients look good but also feel good.

Vivian also shared some insight into her personal preferences when it comes to makeup and styling for her clients. She explained that her favorite makeup style is the natural look, which enhances a person’s natural features without looking too heavy or overdone. When it comes to hairstyles, she favors the updo style for its elegant and timeless look, which is particularly fitting for brides on their special day.

As we asked her to choose between three collections, Verity, Tina, and Giselle, she opted for the Giselle collection, which she admires for its elegance and finds that it aligns with her goal of helping her clients look their best on their wedding day.

When asked what advice she would give to women who want to start their own businesses, Vivian offered some encouraging words. “Be daring enough to try and be open to learning from every mistake. Always be humble enough to learn from others because there will always be someone out there whose experience you can learn from.”

We hope Vivian’s story will be an inspiration to anyone who has ever felt stuck in a career or unsure about pursuing their passion. Her journey shows that with hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks, anyone can achieve their dreams.

With International Women’s Day around the corner, let’s remind ourselves that it’s never too late to make a change in our lives and follow our hearts!
